Gentlemen We Love.

John Krasinski.

He's dorky, adorable, and hilarious. Not to mention he always dresses with class; theres no doubt this funny guy is a gentleman.

It's okay to...

Read a "lovely read" at the bookstore, just so you don't have to buy it.

In this case, I have been sneaking off to Barnes & Noble to ooh and ahh, oogle and die over Christian Louboutin's new book. The man is brilliant, bold, iconic, talented and exceptional in every way but his $150 price tag almost made me cry. In fact, I was so looking forward to the release I actually might have.

"There is no way I am going pay that for a book" Sigh. "Christmas present." Ugh. "Who am I kidding? I can't wait till Christmas." Hmmmm "I'll just sneak in and read it. Wait. Can you do that?"  Duh, you totally can. And you can totally buy a Starbucks while you're at it. So, I've been spending all my free time indulging in a warm Starbucks and reading at the bookstore, just so I don't have to buy the book.

Did I mention there are pop ups?

I die.

Music Notes.

Some of my favorite up beat happy-feel-good songs are by Mat Kearney. Seriously, I can never listen to his music without smiling.  Since my last Music Notes post was about Josh Rouse's mellow music I thought Mat Kearney was a good choice for this week.

I just bought his latest album "Young Love" and thought to myself  "Why don't I own his other albums?" I could have spent a fortune buying them all, I just love the uniqueness of his music.

So far my favorite song off this album is Count On Me and from other albums are Closer to Love and Undeniable.

A Hollyday.

I'm off this weekend for my brother's wedding! I can't believe it's actually here. After months and months of planning the perfect wedding for October 15, 2011 it's actually tomorrow. Insane.

I love this picture of us, it makes me laugh every time I see it...so naturally I had to share it.

Have an amazing weekend! I'll post details soon :)

The Lady Loves Lace

I came across these adorable goodies while I was at work and the first thing I thought was "I cant wait to share these with my readers!"

It's such a simple way to dress up old shoes or freshen up your look.  There are other styles and colors available on the website as well.

Love them. Don't you?

It's okay to...

Splurge.

I saw this Be & D bag posted above today as I was browsing around the internet and I sort of fell in complete and utter love with it. So much so I feel like its already mine. Of course to make matters better worse it's marked down from $768 to $307! That sounds like a great deal if you ask me... annnnd the chain straps adjust so you can wear it as a cross body bag also. Hello, two in one? Yes please. Not to mention its beautiful, right?

But even as I type this post about splurging I know that I really shouldn't buy this bag. I have spent plenty of money in the last eight months getting ready for my brothers wedding (which is next weekend btw).  However, I stand by the idea that sometimes it is okay to buy yourself something you really want.

So...to splurge or not to splurge?  I'll let you know what happens.

Lets Talk Jewelry.

I'm obsessed. If only you could see my drawers. Any one who knows me knows that the one thing I love most about it is how unique it can be; there's nothing I love more than an interesting piece of jewelry.

Normally I buy anything that is or looks one of a kind. Totally unique. Occasionally, of course, there will be something I fall in love with that might not be the case. Still, I love it all the same.

We all know too much jewelry sometimes can clash so just like dressing for your body type, it is important to understand the art or wearing accessories. I don't always agree less is more because I love to wear 12 bracelets at once with 3 rings, but I don't do it everyday because dainty looks pretty too.

Here are some items I am loving right now:

Ring
Perfect if you do or do not have your ears pierced!

$125                                                                                                            $14.99

Cuff
Clutch necklace. So cute.

 $348                                                                                                             £6.99

 Pine cone necklace. Love!
Shh ring.

$12.22                                                                                                              $13.97

Pendant
Tassel necklace.

 $13.97                                                                                                                     $19.00

Home is were the Chic is.

A lady who dresses in style must also live in style. There are so many ways to spruce up your home/apartment from fun tea pot hooks for your kitchen towels to big splurges and colorful dinnerware.

Playing dress up with your home/apartment is as much fun as it is with the clothes you wear, just host a dinner party or two and show it off. Once again, its not about how much money you have or don't have it's what you make of it.

Personally, I love shabby chic so I posted a few items below I think are fabulous:

  $64.99                                                                                                                    $149-$199

$495                                                                                                             $128

$24                                                                                                                      $32

$275                                                                                                                                 $30

Hello October.

Thank you for making September a wonderful month!

The upside:
1: This blog has been my baby and I'm so happy to be sharing it with the world. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.

2: The weather is finally perfect.

3: Football is in full swing and though I see myself as a lady, I absolutely love this sport.

The downside:
1: So far our California trees do not look like the ones above yet. I really wish they did.

2: I've noticed it is getting darker earlier and earlier every night. I really wish it didn't. I feel so much happier when the sun stays up late with me. Its officially October.
